Frequently Asked Questions

  •  What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture is a model of growing and eating that connects local farmers with the community.  The farmers and CSA members share the risks and rewards of the season in the form of a CSA “share”.  In exchange for a membership fee, members receive a weekly box of fresh produce.

  • Why subscribe?

By supporting our farm, you will have access to 100% veganic, healthy food.  You will help us to further our mission; to extend compassion to all life.

  • How and when can I sign up?

We accept sign-ups at any time for a pro-rated amount.  Space is limited, so we recommend that you reserve your share by March 31.

You may pay with a check or credit card, in full by March 31 or in two installments by March 31 and August 1.  If you pay in full by March 31, you will receive a 5% discount.

  • For how long do I have to join?  What if I go on vacation?

Memberships are for 22 weeks.  If you are out of town, we recommend that you arrange for a friend, neighbor or family member to pick-up your share.

  • What is the size of the box?  Can I select which produce I want?

We have a one-size share box.  The standard share is about the same size as full brown grocery bag. You can expect 6-10 items depending on the season.

Because we are a small farm, the boxes cannot be individually customized. However, your input is important to us.  We will provide an end-of-season satisfaction survey, or you can share your feedback with us at anytime.  We recognize that everyone has different tastes – even if there is something that you do not like in the box, we believe that it is still a good deal, for a great cause.

  • What if the box is too big?

If you find that there is too much food in your box, we recommend that you share with friends or place any unwanted items in the “free bin”.

  • Dissatisfied?

Please let us know what we can do to improve our new CSA program.  We strive to give great value and quality to our members.  If you would still like to cancel, you may do so before the second installment is due on August 1.
